Mara's Nightmare

In Timothy Zahn's Thrawn trilogy Mara has a disturbing nightmare.  When the Emperor died she thought that Vader and Luke had teamed up and had struck him down together. She is plagued by vivid nightmares about her inability to save her master in time. But will the nightmare end differently THIS time? Quote Zahn:
"The blades crossed, red-white against green-white, and they prepared for battle. And then, without warning, with twin roars of hatred audible even over the alarms, both turned and strode towards the Emperor.  The Emperor raised his hands, sending jagged blue-white lightning at his enemies. Vader and Skywalker straightened, and with rage they lifted their lightsabers high."
Can Mara save him? Will the nightmare end differently this time?
