thats twice now you have tried to gode me into responding to your blurd speculation on to weather or not i hacked. i was labed a hacker because
i played with and beat well known hackers, ie- nem, merlin, technique, unknown, amongst others, so my name was immediately thrown in with them forever more, it was mainly players like the calibur of yourself who would assume people in top 5 hacked., it just took one of the top guys that everyone liked to accuse someone of hacking and then it stuck like a fly to shit. all the people i knew and liked and had casual games with for fun and practice over the years, will tell you i did not hack. and f.uck g.cog that was unknown & phokus's game. its funny some of the top guys like ikik/judge/ren/cloud were rarely called hackers, because they were nice to everyone, well sorry but i liked who i liked regardless of ass kissing newbies, not saying you were one, but you get my point, 90% of the time i had zms off yea.

That screen was taking in 2001.. btw... long after Kain was in his "glory period" .. I'm a pretty sure Axion wasn't even in Prince when RA was around... Teams did mean a lot though.. Axion and I did not do newbie teams that were FFA we pretty much did duels usually I outer Axion inner. Axion wasn't super "elite" at duels ever especially against tough opponents. So when we would play a team of 2 "elite" saberists, the game would get real close. It was pretty much me beating whoever I would face verses axion equaling or slightly losing to the other person. Here is an instance of it.. I'm not trying to say I personally or Prince is Elite by beating Kain....
I merely wish to share the fact Prince competed with the very best. Even edged out the very best at times...
I'm just trying to establish some credibility... it seems like people treat
me as a throw away half-decent saberist...who barely is worth being called elite.. and every Prince / former Prince knows that is not the case. I'm just trying to convince you skeptics who played me as a developing saberist in 1999 when I had joystick lmbo...or never really played me at all that I could compete even with a huge technological disadvantage in the later days of JK, which according to England and his long winded information report is "near impossible".

I hated teams. I would be duelling one guy then some other a-sshole would come and land a cheap shot in my back and go back to his own duel. It didnt seem like a test of skill at all in fact I think it was easier if you were the guy making all the cheap shots. Oh and the lag OMG it would always be worse for everyone else except the host. Yeah, I hated teams when it came to bgj.

England - regarding your question of timeframe and the players you named that was late 2001.

CK's "reign" was in 2000 and mask dominated in late 2000.

I don't know what "generation gap" I took that you and Yack are referring to. Aside from vanishing for the entire year of 2000, and part of 2001 (finals) i've been around daily.

Eng, I can't really argue your dialup/connection speeches. My entire point seems to keep getting lost. Here are my points

1. People who were in school (and there were many) had T-1 and above and played JK (proven)
2. People at home had ISDN (and there werent just 0.5%)
3. If (in 1997/98/99) 4 people played each other on ISDN there is no difference if they played that game on ISDN in 1997 or played a game now.
4. I was not trying to make a point that everyone had fast connections, nor did I ever suggest stupid comment like "stealing a T-3 line.." wtf, people do go to uni you know, not everyone was 14 like you assume, perhaps that's within your experience back then, but I know for a fact the people I played with (not the majority of everyone though) was older than 18 and was either in college or on their way.

Sub - I agree with your VDS post in the sense that different people dominated at different times. However, the majority of the clan did not dominate anything. A small fraction of players dominated 1 setting at different times, England being one of them. I don't want to bad mouth friends of mine and point out who wasnt very good, so that's all I need to say. And yes I would regard a "top" saberist as someone who could be voted "top" throughout a long stretch of JK before it became a joke. Anyone who was truely great didnt play JK for 5 years, unless they were a complete nerd.

I remember playing Mask once, he was a cocky asshole, but he had a huge reputation, and he was very skilled. Although I don't even recall playing him (but I know we did), he was a nice guy to me (always told me to fuck off), and I enjoy that about him. What i'm really trying to say here is..Mask will you be my valentine?
