back to JK. are the servers working?

I don't know if the server is working, but I'm returning to JK as well ~ Just got it up and running for the first time in 5 years... now to download patch commander, ConMan, JKEdit, JK3do... 🙂

Yeah everything is running good, Server is up and has been running almost nonstop since setup. I might start taking request settings soon.

whats the current IP?
i've tried most of the ip's i've found all over the server and still cant connect. it's not because i'm still on version 1.00 right?

i've also tried hamachi, but is doesn't seem to show me any other online users.

Look at recent news. It's jkdf2.game-host.org. Also, your JK version does not matter. Hamachi is not running on the server, so stay away from that. lol. Besides, even if it was, you wouldnt be able to see players that weren't using it.

It seems no one is ever on that server though.

well... you have to be lucky to find someone... or you can go play with someone and then you someone else might join you 😉

i have tried pinging the server (jkdf2.game-host.org) and i get no replies.

i have port forwarding on, and no firewall. any ideas?

The router is set to not reply to pings. It will still resolve the IP and display it in the ping command, even though no replies:

Pinging jkdf2.game-host.org [71.81.245.44] with 32 bytes of data

STAR WARS FRIENDS: IP IS NOT NECESSARY. LET DYNAMIC DNS DO THE DIRTY WORK

The Dynamic DNS server will always resolve the IP when it changes. When you join the game and are prompted to enter the IP just enter jkdf2.game-host.org You will win every time

Server is up and running. I test it every night from a seperate connection. Level currently NF rotate.

thanks, i've made some progress.
the server now comes up and i can connect. but after i chose my character i don't get past "contacting host computer..."

any ideas what i should do next?
i don't mean to be a pain in the ass, but even after all these years and all these new games jk is still my top rated multiplayer game.

my mistake. my port forwarding wasn't setup correctly.

i'm ready to play bishes, i never really played gun. mostly bgj nf/ff.

but i'm up for anything. hope to see someone on the server soon.
