Cable and Deetrix were both good guys, i wonder what happened to em.
Like Sacred.. he vanished.. then pops up again..gets to the final of a tourney .. sticks around for three days and then vanishes again. The same thing with Savant. And Axion vanished as well.. or wait. Axion went and left to another continent. There were just many guys that I really liked and just disappeared.
Yes so true, something I've thought about alot...I plan to create a online database of all players ever, where you can look up a player and submit what information you know about that player very easily π It could lead to a comprehensive archive of detailed player information and perhaps make it easier to track down long lost JK friends ect π Say for example you see oldschool player X on IRC, you post a note under that player's database entry and if someone else is wonder what happened to player X they can look and see that that player showed up within the last x years π

sounds pretty neat buddy.. ya i think first you'll have to compile a list of JK player names the person's main name followed by a list of alliases haha... and it definately will take a lot of work till we get info on almost everyone
or you could just take all the info that wodz had, if he still has it
jci had like everybody on it including pics lol
I spent today working on it, it'll be finished [snip]

i was the best at bgj ff
hehe u add all my semi skill at everything.. and then my uber god-like skills at bgj nf then... i'm the best .. just some yack pride like i used to have hehe... now you will all laugh your heads off im sure π
doubtful yack, there are a ton of good all arounders including myself
ya.. i couldnt compete worth a darn at either FF Oasis or NF JI oasis or merc oasis.. or BGJ FF.. beyond a medium skilled player level.
At times i showed glimmers of eliteness at NF guns..
My FF skill was daunted by the fact I was always a light force player,.
and played demo 2 years utilizing nothing but light force and was so screwed up by that fact that transitioning to a different style of play wasn't possible so I switched to primarily sabers.
I used to be a good CTF player back in my early days though , but that was another life.,.
then of course my amazing bespin skills from my demo days. (many of you would argue that means nothing, but hey it was a very popular setting back when JK was a new game 1997 - 1998, I was nearly unbeatable in every setting of the demo in those days, a lot of you knock the demo, but you don't know the demo was its own mini-community of JK back when JK was a new game, with our own clans, and people who became unbelievably skilled in all settings of the demo. Many of these members came to join the Elite clan of the demo Prince: (most noteabley the early Prince members (Karbon, Snoopy, Blight (Vlcan), Toli, Apoc, Beanbag) who all had as a rough time like me transitioning there all around skills to JK Full version, not because they were worse than those who played Oasis, but because they were used to a different style of play. Noteabley those Prince who were regarded as saberists in demo were still fairly good when it came to full version, hence why we became a primarily sabers clan. Our gunners and FF players did not adjust as well because of the different style of play. (haha ok enough of a Prince pitch)
haha however, I knew the game well enough that if I could do everything I knew, I could of easily been one of the best in every category.
Anyhow i'm at least worth an honorable mention for my saber skills alone and all around mediocre skills . :).. and cumulative contribution to the game / recognition that my name carries with it.
(Mostly of a positive connotation)
shut the f uck up you blabbering newbie. You repeat the same s hit over and over in almost every thread.

It is a widely accepted fact that Light side players have an advantage over darkies. I don't see how that would 'daunt' your ff o skill =P
And if you're talking about being light at BGJ, well that's just dumb anyways. Just play NF Sabers with increased speed and bigger jumps.
hehe.. ya that is pretty much my strategy being light at BGJ :). relying on my saber skills to win hehe. if i can make moves fast enough.. and not get raped by the grip.. i stand a chance.
its like uber sabers.... I haven't tested it well enough to say its a legitament possibility,. but against mediocre Dark FF saberists, I am rather confident I can beat them. Against Elite item controlling FF saberists, it will probably be a near impossibility, but I'm still going to experiment.
Punk you don't understand my Lighty FF oasis problem.. it wasn't cause i was a lighty.. it was because I wasn't used to the oasis nf guns format ,. I.E. I never used mouse until early 2000 (why cause I was Mega Elite in Demo, I played demo 1997, 1998, with just the joystick in all aspects of the game. Secondly, because I was still a Top Saberist in Full Version with just the joystick in 1999. Anyone that played me prior to my switch to mouse will remember that (Bartolo and England) ) . It took me until JK was near extinct to even get semi good at using the mouse for guns, primarily because i was focused on getting real good at using the mouse for sabers . With all that going on, I really had no time to test my FF skills in a clan that primarily played all NF.
If anything I think if I could of done it, and done it right, a lighty can be superior at FF guns than a dark force player. in all gun levels of the game that was the way I always was in the demo, and most of the same concepts transfer over. It might be a little tougher however because oasis is more open, and tougher to hit targets. That fact is what deterred me from becoming a dominate FF "Guns" (Oasis) player.. not because I used light force. just because the type of gunning required in oasis was different than the gunning I perfected.
haha i do subzero π yet people comment on it everytime. blabbering newbie .. *sigh* .. .. it just keeps me occupied
I think what sub meant to say is that placing your source of value in past or present skill in a game is probably an exercise in futility. Raises the question, where does our source of value and purpose come from and can it satisfy?
Clum Clum.Get MSN you numbnuts
