The Basic Tips Thread

Even in this day and age, there seem to be some important tips that are often overlooked by many players. Post all important basic tips in this thread.

My contributions:

- Turn on your crosshair in settings. It helps enormously.
- Strafing increases your speed tremendously.
- AIM AHEAD. Learn the concept of lead-on aiming.
- Learn how to use secondary fire! It could save your life, literally.
- Grab shields and health whenever possible!
- Time the armor vest in oasis levels
- Keep moving! A stationary target is an easy target.
- Return fire, don't just run
- Place mines CREATIVELY
- Don't waste time with the bryar if you don't have anything else. Whip out your saber, and get close to your target(s).
