Acceleration screw up

Hey I know this a long shot asking here but seriously where else can you get JK support nowadays.
Basically since igzones is hosting a JK lobby I decided I might start playing more actively, problem is when I turn acceleration on I get this

When I have it turned off the game will play mediocre fine but most of the time people seem to teleport around me, these modern day cards really piss me off sometimes. Doesn't look like there's much I can do does there? :(

Oh yeah I'm on Windows XP and I have Radeon HD3870, maybe I should go dig my old voodoo 3 back out lol

hi

if the problem exists also in the demo (dl here: http://files.filefront.com/jedidemoexe/ ... einfo.html )

maybe you should just tell ATI about the problem in their drivers and they might fix it for the next release, here's a link... dont' forget to give them a link to the demo too.

Don't think there's much point emailing ATI, they're not gonna care about these old games they're only interested in like Crysis and s**t

wtf, are you guys blind, i just pointed you to a purpose built form on their website for reporting issues

you just type the details in and hit submit, it's there for a reason.

I would hope so but I kind of doubt it. I thought DirectX was supposed to be backwards compatible anyway?

it is. in the directx has purpose built code for handling old versions of directx which it maps to the video driver, if atis driver gets confused then you will have problems like the one demonstrated.

like I said, you'd have to be stupid not to tell them about it, you never know how simple or hard it is for them to fix, they might look at it and say "ohhh, yes, that's easy" and then its fixed in the next version.

if you can't fill out a form, something is wrong.
