What Happened!?

Hey guys,

First off, I had to change hosts last minute because of extremely bad support and I was also worried I might lose the site. Because of this NarShaddaa.net has been down for a few days, so I apologize for the downtime. The site has moved to a dedicated server so download speeds should be excellent when all the files are uploaded again. I decided to not reupload the site to this new host and just wait till I finish the new site, which will be jkdf2.net v1. Now a bit more on jkdf2.net - While I still own narshaddaa.net, that url tends to be difficult for people to remember and is rather long. When I found that jkdf2.net & jkdf2.com were available for registration, I jumped at it. So as soon as the new site is put up NarShaddaa.net will be known as jkdf2.net.

Hopefully I can get my hosted users back up pretty soon.

Some great things about the virtual dedicated server: I am sharing a server with only a couple other people and I at all times have a certain amount of system resources available to me. Because of this the site should experiance ZERO downtime and excellent loading speeds. If anyone is encountering problems with the forums or accessing jkdf2.net/.com or narshaddaa.net, be sure to let me know.

Also with the new server I can host IRC, something I'm not sure how involved to set up is. At any rate I can redirect irc.jkdf2.net -> irc.holonet.org. 🙂

Another thing: Anyone who wants @jkdf2.net/.com or @narshaddaa.net email forwarding will be able to request it. How cool is that? Hehe. 😉

ANOTHER thing: I can create an A record for the JKDS. This means that the Jedi Knight Dedicated Server will be accessable from <something short>.jkdf2.net/.com or .narshaddaa.net.
