The Missouri Server hosted by HooyerD is up and it's status is reflected on JKDF2.net, on the right side on the page. Unfortionately my MotS server is not working well, and is CRASHING at the end of every level. For obvious reasons, this needs to be rectified, so I will spend this week correcting the problem. Also, the program that polls for status and reports to the site I am going to move off the game server to increase speed and put it on yet another additional computer. This way the MotS Server will be running as little as possible. I encourage you folks to take advantage of the status, as it shows current level(s) and players. However, this status program can be unreliable so I encourage you to look at the "Last Updated" time to double check whether the information you are looking at is recent. I do everything possible to keep it working but as all things do, it can fail from time to time.
HooyerD's server is FULLY FUNCTIONAL, ACTIVE, and RELIABLE. So I encourage everyone to go play there. Soon all the chat that takes place on the server will be uploaded to JKDF2.net for viewing.
My server is not yet at that stage of things, but I'll get there soon enough. 😉 When it is up 100% it will relay chat to a certain IRC channel and upload chat logs as well.

NEW SERVER IP IS: 71.81.245.44 Sorry but I had to restart the cable modem. GOod news is the new router is in place. Dynamic DNS has been activated so in addition to joining by IP you can also use:
jkdf2.game-host.org where you type in the IP.

No the IP on the front page has not been changed. Also, the MotS server is NOT running - look at the last updated. I can't fix it until I get home, so the wrong IP will be displayed on the front page until tonight.

Thanks Vallo that would be cool. I currently have games going on jkdf2.game-host.org (71.81.245.44) . I'm sure ReT will get that updated when he gets back. I would just as well use jk.servegame.com if possible. I plan on running a full time server on a dedicated cable connection for at least a year and then reevaluate. Join the server and start playing everybody.

The Game servers will be down for a short while in the afternoon tomorrow, May 18. The hardware will be tranfered to a backup power supply. Just trying to tidy things up before I leave for my trip to LA. Anybody else going to Celebration 4? Server should be back up by evening. jkdf2.game-host.org

OK my young Jedi friends the server is back up and running. It's on a backup power supply so if disaster strikes when I'm at Celebration 4, hopefully the server still runs. This server does well but upon my return the game server will be upgraded to an even faster computer. Hope to see some of you at C4.

IP is subject to change but rarely does. The domain name always follows the changes and works all the time.

To get a static IP with my ISP is a much more expensive service. My cable IP doesn't change much anyway. If I unplug the cable modem and it has to reset it will change. If I leave it alone it usually stays the same for months. Anyway as long as people remember jkdf2.game-host.org it really doesn't matter if it changes. jkdf2.game-host.org always resolves to the current IP, no matter how often it were to change.
