i read that u had to download directx 9.0 c to be able to enter in the public server.I installed it and tryied to enter but it still say searching without finding anything...

I am using a firewall but i don't know how to open ports... i went to microsoft site but i am not able to open them...
What have i got to do?
I tried to get in the site but it didn't work, i couldn't enter.But thx i am going to search it in google. Thx 
- DirectX v9.0 is not required for the JKDS, but at least v5.0 is required to play Jedi Knight
- The game not showing up is attributed to either a Router or Firewall.
- If you have a Firewall, I can't help you, but I can give you the ports required. JK uses the Directx 7 method so you'd need to open up TCP Port 47624 (Inbound and Outbound) as well as 2300-2400 UDP AND TCP inbound and outbound. Refer to your firewall or router manuals/online help/help files or technical assistance on how to do this. Click here for DirectX ports required to play on a network. In my opinion you should just turn the thing off.
- If you have a router, you need to either setup DMZ for your computer or forward ports.
