1) Create a folder called mod inside your Jedi Knight folder
2) Create a text file in your Jedi Knight folder and name it mod.txt
3) Open it up and type "jk.exe -path mod" without the quotes.
4) Rename mod.txt to mod.bat
5) Place your mod in the "mod" folder
6) Run mod.bat

hey, this is for my buddy. He cant find JK2 anywhere around him so i zipped my copy and sent it to him via MSN messanger. He saved it to his desktop and unzipped it to a folder on his desktop. thing is we cant get patch commander to read his shit so i was wondering why? Patch commadner says "cant find game" hence the question about runnin a mod without patch commander. anyway he did what you said and his TXT file when switched to a Batch says mod.bat but it dosnt change the file to a Dos executable (with the cog pic on it) it stays looking like a Txt file and when you rightclick and go to properties on it apparantly it says "mod.bat.*txt or somethin like that.

any ideas besides EBAY, in wich he has tried 2 times to get JK2 and both times it was the completly wrong disk?

does he have to extract the folder to his program files under the C/: ??

thanks for the help

1) Go to "My Computer"
2) Click "Tools"
3) Click "Folder Options"
4) Click "View"
5) Make sure "Display the full path in the title bar" is checked.
6) Make sure "Hide Extensions for known file types" is unchecked.
7) Rename your attempted batch file to mod.bat
