#jk - My Formal Complaint

Beefcaike oped tymerzz because he gave Beefcaike admin on his CS:S server, which doesn't have anything to do with #jk and he obviously oped DSbr so they will keep coming to his channel.. kind of idiotic really (nothing against DSbr) but he clearly only cares about how many people come to his room for random chit-chat rather than how many people come for JK..

if you decide to create a new room for JK, i back you up. 😉

Another thing I would like to say

I have always supported #jk - I'm always telling people who email, AIM, MSN with me to get on irc - because an active forum is one thing - but first and foremost the chatting and gaming is what makes up the heart of Jedi Knight.

So, hopefully, BeefCaike will be willing to do something to deal with the current issues...

You must be misunderstanding me - or maybe you didn't bother to read what I wrote.

- You go on to claim that I would be a "sad little boy", "waste of space" and that people would be indifferent if I left the JK scene. These seem like very immature and unreasonable statements to make - unwarrented and irrelevent to this line of discussion.

Emotional? No. Do I take this game too seriously? Maybe more than other people, but not to a degree that you imply. I do invest a good deal of time and money into the game, so yes, I do take the game more seriously than others.

I made my thoughts and opinions very clear and I do believe that if you read them you would understand I made valid points that should be taken into consideration and already it has been established I am not the only person who has concerns about the path #jk has taken and how it continuing down this path could prove to be detrimental to the general JK community.

in my opinion, severen did a way better job as a moderater, he didn't op complete retards who randomly boot/devoice people, and he banned people like "orbital" who do nothing but talk shit to people and spam stupid crap.

i never supported #jk, because it was made for the wrong reasons.. despite what you may think about severen, he kept his room in order.

I agree that severen's moderation was far better than Beef's - but the creation of #jk was warranted, (as I recall) in many cases severen was moderating as he pleased - not in a manner healthy to the JK community - I recall one instance when severen banned BeefCaike as he started to promote #jk - I don't know if severen had a logical reason for this, like maybe he was flooding or disrupting chat in some manner - but as I recall it was unnessecary for severen to do so and there were similar instances where severen was kickbanning people unnessecarily.

and beefcaike promoting #jk in severens room was only going to tear the community apart... which it did, and now we're stuck with egotistical assholes as moderators.

No not at all - I agree, the moderation abuse in #jk is quite widespread

#jk has existed quite nicely - up until the last couple months, where(I hate to generalize but it's true) - A number of DSbr members (and a few others) have dominated #jk discussion with their "shit talking" (I can't think of a better term) - BeefCaike's general incompitence regarding moderation abuse has been tolerable - but then he starts appointing additional unnessecary moderators that add to the problem? That's no good

i ban only kirby orbital smoke and spidey, tell me which one of those dont deserve to be banned on a regular basis scott

I remember being in irc one day and jokingly saying to newbish "gee, perhaps now ret should ban me from his board also" to which you replied "thats right bitch". And dont even try to bring up multiple accounts as a valid argument because I didn't do that until after you had banned me.

And yeah, there are too many mods in #jk and having so many of them is pointless and people do abuse their powers, but my point is that its usually just in a fun and joking manner, unlike the manner I have seen you demonstrate on this forum. Did you read my reasons for believing so? I clearly stated that it was shortly after I spoke with BeefCaike about the issue. The length of time they have been ops for has no bearing on this - it's why and when they were made ops.

You began registering multiple accounts before I banned your initial account. If I had banned you before you had begun to register additional accounts, I would have IP banned you to prevent you from registering additional accounts.

First I would like a real example of a decision I made in my personal best interests. You are pulling this crap out of nowhere with absolutely nothing to substantiate it. Secondly I do not desire operator status in a JK IRC channel, as I have already stated in this thread.

What are you talking about? Phelan started a new thread for no reason when the exact same topic was being discussed in another thread, not me. Maybe if you had been paying attention you would have noticed that? Your literary skills are impaired perhaps? Or are you just confused and unable to put your thoughts into words? Because what you said made absolutely no sense.

And no, you will not be banned SubZero nor will anyone else unless they do something like Spam or register additional accounts as both things are disruptive to the forum.
