Well you sure you don't have any firewall on, router and software? Have you tested it without the router to see if it works fine?(if it does, you need to setup a DMZ) Are you on DSL or Cable?

Maybe take a look at your DSL config page? I think most DSL providers have a config page(I may be wrong).
You could try resetting your router to original factory settings, it should default back to settings that would allow you to play fine.
