nobody was really all that great at ff oasis back in 99 and certainly not 98. aeron didnt even use the map in his eos days. sithlord was the best at one point in 99. i played him in his prime, i remember how good people were. nightmarez was able to win the cwt with the God damned keyboard. when he was unbanned from the zone he had to learn the mouse before he could kill the elites (late 00, 01 maybe). after asskicker got broadband he raised the bar even further. vipraven said that he was "unplayable." it's because people couldnt hide behind their pings anymore.

when i came back in 04 after a year people were saying shit like "kicker/narz/reiko" arent that great. talking about my generation like we were a bunch of fuckin scrubs. kinda like what everyone started saying back in 01 about the old schoolers.
you could send anybody like lowbacca (new schooler) or old players that got good like tHc or WLP Punk in a time machine back to 99 and they would mop the floor with every ff gunner. ask porkchop he will tell you. if i was as good as i am now back in 98 NOBODY would get one kill on me. and im not even that great.
