2008 Site Statistics & JKDF2.COM Issues

Happy new year, by the way. As I've been re-associating myself with some of the domain and hosting aspects of JKDF2.net, two things came up. First, I noticed that JKDF2.com is apparently not working. For those who don't know, this site has several domains: NARSHADDAA.NET, JKDF2.NET, and JKDF2.COM. A quick look at the forwarding settings for JKDF2.com indicates that the domain should, in fact, be forwarding to JKDF2.net. Unfortunately, there is still a "This Web site coming soon" page. I'm unsure if this has any impact on our Google ranking or not, but it's definitely something I need to take care of. If I can't figure it out with GoDaddy's byzantine administrative panel, I'll call them up and hopefully the issue will be resolved by early next week(week of 1/19). Second, I have some interesting statistics for the site. Since I activated the statistics tool on this site in June or July of last year, a great deal of data has been gathered. There is a great deal of detailed information, so I'm going to rehash the highlights.

To the JK Community: I'm back. I noticed something cool today as I was checking out the control panel for JKDF2.net on GoDaddy.com. Apparently, by making purchases on GoDaddy.com, your receive "credits" that can be used towards various services for webmasters that would otherwise cost money. It appears I am eligible to receive free credit towards advertising through Google AdWords as well as Microsoft AdCenter. It occured to me that this could be a useful tool both for attracting former JKDF2 players in addition to "new" potential players. Lastly, I hate to say "updates are on the way", because you guys don't want to hear about my plans, you want to see results. So let me catch up with vallo, Andrew, and the rest of the crew, and start to get things moving. - ReT

Just a final note, I seriously doubt we can get 32 players into the tourney. Twelve players is the minimum we need in order to get the tourney up and running. At the time of posting, We have 9 people who have signed up.
