Legends of the Force: Darth Maul vs. Qui-Gon Jinn
Author: [BoBo Fett] Reviewer: [Coolie_Loach]
- Aesthetics:
- This level is another one of those levels where you have to fight a dark jedi, But at least the author actually changed the skin of the dark jedi. The architecture in this level was pretty good with a nice circular room. The lighting was good in the hanger section of this level with dark corners, but one of the corners had no lighting effects at all which was really out of place. The texturing was good and all aligned properly. Darth Maul was just a new skin with Jerec sounds and AI. There were a few new sounds like "At last we shall have our revenge." Qui-Gon was just a new skin on Kyle, with no new sounds. He had short hair, which looked really bad. The addition of some Naboo fighters was good although I have seen better Naboo Fighters in other levels. There was also a nice little starting cutscene.
- Gameplay:
- The Gameplay was smooth but there could of been a few more health items. Darth Maul was rather hard to hit, but was pretty easy to defeat otherwise. This level had no objectives leaving the game still running after you had killed Darth Maul.
- Final Comments:
- Overall this level was quite fun to play, but once you have killed Darth Maul once you won't really want to play it again. Only people who like killing dark jedi or really like episode one should play this level.
