Description of the Modification
-------------------------------

This Jedi Knight patch allows you to play as 'DarkJan', a Jan Ors
character model variant, in both single and multiplayer. Works in
multiplayer provided all participants have the KYA10D.3DO file in
their .\RESOURCE\3DO directory. For your convenience, the character
name 'DarkJan' has been added to the roster in the Multiplayer
Character Viewer. I've also included a red lightsaber as part of
this installation for single player usage.

The Sariss 3do is the base for this model and most of the textures
come from the DarkKyle 3do. I think you'll agree that Jan looks
quite stunning in this outfit :)


How to Install the Modification
-------------------------------

UnZip DARKJAN.ZIP with -d (stored folders ON) into .\RESOURCE\.


Technical Details
-----------------

To play again as Kyle in single player, remove the following:

  .\resource\3do\ky.3do
  .\resource\misc\snd\ky.snd

To use the default green lightsaber remove the following:

  .\resource\mat\sabergreen0.mat
  .\resource\mat\sabergreen1.mat

DarkJan is included in the .\resource\misc\models.dat file. This
will allow you to view and select DarkJan in the Character Model
Viewer (note: the files for using DarkJan in singleplayer do not
have to be installed). As stated before, ALL participants must
have the the KYA10D.3DO file in their .\RESOURCE\3DO directory in
order for this character to be seen. Otherwise, they will only
hear the female sound file and see the default Kyle character model.

NOTE: If you have my C2 patch (seetwo.zip) and would like to also
have that character model (or any other custom model) shown in the
Viewer, you will have to edit the following files to include those
models:

 .\resource\mat\models.dat
 .\resource\ui\jkstrings.uni
